  • Copper Wire Cloth

At Belleville Wire Cloth we provide superior filter wire cloth, with features that make it the right choice for your next filtration project. Our top-quality filter wire cloth is comprised of a heavy warp wire which is much stronger and more durable than similarly rated square weave mesh. Because of the precise geometrical structures that our manufacturing processes produce, our filter cloth holds a uniform porosity that far exceeds those found in fibrous or synthetic filter material.

Belleville filter wire cloth features more wires in the “shute” direction than the “warp” direction of the mesh pattern. This mesh is easy to clean, and can be woven from various materials into several weaving patterns.

Belleville filter wire cloth is ideally suited for a number of applications including as filtration, straining, separation of solids, and clear filtration of liquids. Other liquid filtration uses include water treatment, cleaning of fuels and hydraulic fluids, and many other liquid filtration processes.

    • Twill Dutch Double: Similar to Twill Dutch Weave, but the shute wires overlap one another when driven tight into position. This allows double the wires per inch in the shute direction. This type of wire cloth is usually considered “Micronic Grade” filter cloth.
    • Twill Dutch: This filter cloth specification technically combines the Twill Weave and Dutch Weave. The larger diameter warp wires successively pass over and under the lighter diameter shute wires. Each pass of the shute wires shifts the over and under movement one wire. The shute wires are driven up close, resulting in a tightly woven filter cloth with triangular or wedge shaped openings.
    • Plain Dutch Weave: Similar to Plain Weave, except the warp wires are at a larger diameter than the shute wires. The lighter shute wires are driven close together forming a dense filtering medium. This weave displays a triangular or wedge-shaped opening.
    • Stranded Weave: In this type of weave, both the warp and shute wires are made up of multiple wires, rather than a single wire. This is woven in the twill pattern, producing a strong and tight mesh.

Belleville Wire Cloth Co., Inc stands at the forefront of manufacturers of filter wire cloth, offering an unparalleled selection designed to address the most demanding filtration challenges. Filter wire cloth is an essential component in a vast array of applications ranging from chemical and food processing to aeronautics and military defense.

    Stainless Steel Durability

Our filter wire cloth is predominantly made from stainless steel, ensuring resistance to corrosion and high temperatures. This feature is vital for applications in harsh environments where longevity and reliability are crucial.

    Advanced Weaving Techniques

We specialize in various weaving patterns, including Dutch weave, plain Dutch, twilled Dutch, and more. Each technique offers unique benefits, such as improved filtration accuracy and increased strength, catering to specific filtration needs.

    • Twilled Dutch Double: Features double the wires per inch in the shute direction, classifying it as "Micronic Grade" for ultra-fine filtration.

    • Twilled Dutch: Combines Twill and Dutch Weaves for tightly woven cloth with triangular openings, ideal for precise separation.

    • Plain Dutch Weave: Utilizes larger diameter warp wires for a dense filtering medium, perfect for high-efficiency filtration.

    Types of Weaves

    Twill Dutch Double Weave

The Twill Dutch Double weave is a hallmark of sophisticated engineering in filter wire cloth technology. By incorporating double the amount of wires per inch in the shute direction compared to standard weaves, this design achieves what is known in the industry as "Micronic Grade" filtration. This ultra-fine filtration makes it an ideal choice for applications requiring the utmost precision, such as in the pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries, where particle retention of the smallest sizes is critical. The tightness of the weave not only increases the filter's accuracy but also its strength and durability, ensuring a longer lifespan even in the most demanding conditions.

    Twilled Dutch Weave

The Twilled Dutch Weave uniquely blends the characteristics of Twill and Dutch weaves to create a filter cloth with exceptional strength and precision. This technique results in a cloth with tightly woven triangular openings, allowing for precise separation and filtration at microscopic levels. The larger diameter warp wires pass over and under the lighter diameter shute wires in a twill pattern, which shifts with each pass of the shute wires, creating a compact and dense mesh. This intricate weaving pattern is particularly beneficial for industries like chemical manufacturing and oil and gas, where separating fine particles from liquids is essential for product purity and environmental compliance.

    Plain Dutch Weave

The Plain Dutch Weave is characterized by its use of larger diameter warp wires and lighter shute wires driven closely together, forming a dense and robust filtering medium. Triangular or wedge-shaped openings, optimize the filter’s capacity for high-efficiency filtration. Plain Dutch Weave offers a unique blend of strength and precision, making it exceptionally suitable for high-pressure filtration applications. Industries such as water treatment, automotive, and aerospace benefit from this weave's ability to perform under stress, effectively separating solids from liquids while maintaining a consistent flow rate.

    Application and Advantages

These specialized weaves offer a range of applications that extend far beyond basic filtration needs. From protecting sensitive components in aerospace engineering to ensuring the purity of pharmaceuticals, the advanced capabilities of the Twill Dutch Double, Twill Dutch, and Plain Dutch Weaves address a wide spectrum of industry challenges.

Twill Dutch Double Weave excels in scenarios where ultra-fine filtration is a must, capturing minute particles without compromising flow rates.

Twill Dutch Weave provides a solution for processes requiring high precision and strength, where the separation of very fine particulates from a substance is critical.

Plain Dutch Weave stands out in applications demanding high pressure and efficiency, offering superior durability and filtration accuracy.

Belleville Wire Cloth’s commitment to quality and innovation is reflected in our advanced weaving techniques, ensuring that every product not only meets but exceeds the rigorous demands of modern industry. Whether your project requires the ultra-fine filtration capabilities of the Twill Dutch Double Weave, the precision of the Twill Dutch Weave, or the high efficiency of the Plain Dutch Weave, Belleville Wire Cloth is equipped to deliver superior performance and reliability.

  • Precision Welded Wire Cloth

The precision welded wire cloth offered by Belleville Wire Cloth provides enhanced strength and great versatility for applications in a wide variety of industries such as agricultural, mining, industrial equipment, and many more. This quality wire cloth is engineered and manufactured with a number of characteristics that effectively make it the ideal choice for a wide range of uses.

Belleville’s welded wire cloth’s square grid of uniformly placed wires is welded together at all intersections, keeping opening size in the joints uniform. To achieve this feature, warp and shute wires are laid flat on top of one another without being crimped. They are then welded together at the intersections. This equates to enhanced strength and uniformity.

This cloth is available in rolls, cut pieces and custom forms.
